While you should also do a bit of research for yourself, Happy Cow is a phone app that I absolutely love and use on every single trip I take out of the city. This handy app work much like Yelp or Tripadvisor would, but it specifically accommodates for vegans and vegetarians. The only downfall of this app is that it might not be too helpful if you’re visiting a very remote destination, but it works like a charm majority of the time. Happy Cow is available for Apple and Android users.
